He can't remember life without a camera. His dad had a darkroom with a wooden enlarger, it was next to Sam's bedroom, he was processing and printing before he was ten. Sam studied photgraphy in Edinburgh for three years before starting working life as a press photographer. More images are available at www.hebrides.com

Sam has edited a collection of 21 photographes of life in the North West coast of Scotland from in the 80's and 90's. These images are part of a much larger collection of photographs from his time there. Each photograph tells a story, but viewed in sequence they form a bigger picture.
